If you haven’t seen it yet, Fight Club was, in fact, one of the most culturally and artistically important films of the last ten or twenty years. Just as movies like Pulp Fiction and Goodfellas started the decade off with a bang, Fight Club finished it off with an even bigger one. It’s definitely one of the must download movies of the last thirty years or so.
The movie follows Edward Norton as the unnamed Narrator. We never find out his name. He works a dull, soul crushing white collar job. The movie came out about the same time as Office Space, and the two are compared quite often. They both follow some of the same trains of thought in terms of where they get their material, but Fight Club takes it in a much darker direction, while still actually remaining just as funny as the other film, in spite of not technically being a comedy film.
The narrator meets Tyler Durden, and the rest is history. Durden is a character who is completely free of the boundaries of society placed on most people. You know Kramer, from Seinfeld? He’s kind of like that. Just, imagine how dangerous, frightening, and at the same time, inspiring, Kramer would be if you took him out of the sitcom setting and put him into a world where his actions could result in serious consequences.
Walter Hill directed Streets of Fire as an attempt at making what he believed would’ve been the absolute best movie ever when he was a teen. He wrote the script by simply writing a checklist of things he loved as a kid, and making sure that the script included everything on the list. We’d put it on any top movie downloads list of great eighties flicks.
The film follows a discharged soldier, Tom Cody, as he returns to town to save his old flame, pop star Ellen Aim, from Raven, the local biker gang leader. The movie blends fifties and eighties aesthetics into an all new fantasy environment, with dreamlike cinematography showing a lot of rainy streets, neon lights and classic cars.
Something that really helps to define the movie is the music. Again, it blends the style of the fifties with the eighties, so you have those great old Doo Wop dance rock songs treated with a layer of synth rock and roll and dramatic female vocals. Ellen Aim’s band, The Attackers, features prominently in the film. One of these songs, I Can Dream About You, actually climbed up pretty high on the charts.

The Good, The Bad, And The Ugly, What A Classic Movie
0 Comments | Posted by Silvia Johnson in Film
When it comes to watching movies these days using a good movie download service is the way to go. You can find all the great movies like the one we will review today, The Good, The Bad, and The Ugly. The Good, The Bad, and The Ugly is a Western classic everyone should see.
The movie is based on the intertwined events of three characters. The “good” is Blondie and is played by Clint Eastwood. Angel Eyes is the “bad” played by Lee Van Cleef. Tuco is “the ugly” and Eli Wallach plays this part. These three actors combine beautifully in this epic Western.
The story is set in the time of the Civil War. Our characters are swept up in the war at times so we are exposed to aspects of the civil war. At one point Tuco and Blondie are taken prisoner by the Yankees because they were wearing Confederate uniforms. They arrive at the prison camp only to find Angel Eyes as the commander at the camp.
Martin Scorsese may well be the greatest living filmmaker. If not, he at least ranks in the top tier of greatest directors of all time. Even when working with the fairly standard biopic genre material of The Aviator, or doing remakes like Cape Fear, he always creates a film that is simply fascinating to behold. When it comes to Taxi Driver, you could watch it on mute and still be intrigued, or with the sound up and your eyes closed, and the movie would remain enchanting.
There aren’t many directors so capable at effortlessly building a world around you. You’ll feel as if you’re really sitting in that grimy taxi cab, right next to Travis Bickle. It almost has a documentary like feel with the gritty look of the film and the spontaneous nature of the script. It is as close as you can get to the “found footage” feel without gimmicks like hand held cameras.
The film is part of an unofficial trilogy of sorts with The Searchers and Paris, Texas. Both Scorsese’s film and Wim Wenders’ Paris, Texas are loose remakes of John Ford’s The Searchers, and both of the main characters of the latter films, both named Travis, are loosely cast as John Wayne types. The whole trilogy works as an example of just how many different ways there are to tell a single story.

A Movie Download Sites List That Has Only The Best

Going to the video store to rent the latest movie was slowly being phased out once pay per view was brought into the home. Now, video store conglomerates are struggling to extend their product base against a rising technological tide of new entertainment media stores. The internet has made it so that you can buy any album, book, or movie when you want and how you want.
The largest and most popular movie service is NetFlix which allows customers to subscribe, for little money, to a service that will deliver movies either to your door or through your computer. It is the quintessential model for on demand service. As more and more families have transformed their living rooms into entertainment oasis’, the internet has come up and met the demand to stay home and have your fun on your own terms.
On demand videos stream either through your TV cable box, a digital video recorder so that you can watch later, or the internet. And like with watching movies you own, these streaming videos include all of the controls that you’re used to like pausing, stopping and skipping forward and backward during a movie.

Movie Downloads Make Watching Movies More Economical

Everyone loves watching movies and getting your movies through movie downloads makes this much more economical.
Going out for a late night movie with your friends and family could be pretty expensive. Transportation, snacks and movie tickets cost you a lot just for a single movie. Instead of enjoying the movie, you worry about having to cut the grocery list just to keep up with your week’s budget.
On top of that, everyone has different tastes. Hence, accommodating every family member can turn into a really expensive affair. The children want to watch the latest Disney movie, the women want a romantic film, while the men want something more macho. The added price of candies, food and soft drinks that one has to have, while watching a film, adds to the already tight budget that many families adhere to.
Kids are always asking to go to the movies but have you noticed that you rarely pay reduced prices for kid’s tickets at movie theatres any more? So besides full priced tickets for your kids, you also need to pay for yourself to see the movie if the kids are not old enough to go on their own. You then stop at the refreshments stand for popcorn and drinks and by the time you get into the theatre you have spent a fortune and an hour and a half to two hours later it is over. Not very cost effective according to most standards.

Star Wars Episode V The Empire Strikes Back Review
0 Comments | Posted by Eric Pierce in Film
Star Wars Episode V The Empire Strikes Back is one of the best science fiction movies ever made. The movie has something for everyone, and can be re-watched over and over again. The acting is great and the story is compelling. The Star Wars universe is a great place to escape to, especially these days with the recession still hanging over people’s heads.
There are many reasons this is such a great movie. The viewer is treated to seeing the underdogs, the people on the run, the people that are being hunted. Being hunted is a strange thing, and it creates a sort of drama that simply can’t be recreated anywhere else.
Of course this movie wouldn’t have had as much appeal if the rebels sat around on Hoth the whole movie, so the Empire does find them. What follows is the best battle in the Star Wars movies. The ground battle for Hoth is an amazing example of a small group trying to repeal a much larger force invading them. The only answer for the rebels was to cut and run and live to fight another day.
Long gone are the days when you had to leave your house to watch the newest and latest movies. With ever increasing advances in digital technology, it is now possible to stream movies directly from the internet, making it possibly to see the latest films without going to the cineplex or driving out to the local video store. A Synopsis Of The Lord Of The Rings The Two Towers
0 Comments | Posted by Jenifer Greer in Film
Many people were first introduced to Middle Earth in J. R. R. Tolkien’s Book The Fellowship Of The Ring. In order to find out where the story goes, it is necessary to read the sequel. The Lord Of The Rings The Two Towers is the second book in the trilogy. It is a story that in some ways is much more simple than that of the Fellowship, but which is every bit as important and powerful.
You will find that the book tends to be a study in contrasts. There are some portions that are filled with action, suspense and intrigue. There are also sections which focus more on the environment that the characters are traveling through and which tend to be a bit slower paced.
It is for this reason that the movie version, released in 2002 and directed by Peter Jackson, was excellent. Although there have been some criticisms about some of the plot choices that were made in the movie, on the whole it is an excellent film. Like the first movie, Jackson uses a combination of sets, special effects and make-up in order to recreate key locations such as King Theoden’s hall in Rohan.
