How to Get the Perfect Composition in your Digital Photography
0 Comments | Posted by admin in Photography
It sounds easy doesn’t it? Well it is when you have practiced. But when you are starting out learning how to get better shots with more depth and clarity you can start focusing on the technical but perhaps start forgetting about the artistic side and visa versa.
Its common problem when we first start learning digital photography. We realise that we must drill the technical stuff into our heads so we can improve, and what tends to happen is that we get caught up for a bit. We can forget that photography is artistic. And the artistic side of your digital photo needs perfect composition. So here’s a handy technique that I discovered for myself to getting that perfect structure in my composition that I now want to share with you.
A great way, no a fabulous way to get perfect composition in your digital photos is to practice with your zoom. Start by picking your subject and focusing on it.
Let’s say it’s an apple on a bench. Usually what happens is that people take the angle too far away, getting the distracting background objects in the picture. This takes away the beautiful and freshness of the subject leaving us rather cold as far as an emotional response for the photo.
Digital Photography has taken the world by storm. Everyone, even children, know how to operate these technology advanced cameras.
From point and shot, to cell phone cameras, to the more advanced models with professional options, the world of photography has leapt off the small screen into the gigantic world of possibilities.
Prior to the “digital revolution,” film reigned supreme. But no more — Digital has taken the crown and reigns supreme worldwide.
Digital has changed the world of photography:
Unlimited images: Compact flash cards are the “film” of the digital age. They offer cards from 32mb up to 8gb to hold all your pictures. It is highly recommended to have several cards in your camera bag for long photo shoots, or in the unlikely event that an error occurs and makes your “only” card defective.
Delete: Unlike film, digital allows you to SEE the image instantly. No surprises. If the image is not perfect, simply delete and retake.
The digital revolution in photography has led to a huge increase in the popularity of photography as a hobby. From low resolution automatic cameras to high end Single Lens Reflex (SLR) cameras, the new lease of life that digital technology has bought to the industry is having a profound affect on photographic aesthetics. Once the realm of photographic professionals and artists, successful photography required the understanding of apertures, F stops, Lighting and framing. This started to change with the introduction of the automatic camera.
Automatic cameras allowed the general public, with no photographic training, to take pictures at the click of a button. This accessibility increased the popularity of photography as a hobby and this is the first point that the aesthetics began to change dramatically. The quality of the pictures was in no way comparable to that which could be achieved by a professional using an SLR camera, as the auto mated function was fairly basic. The quality of the photographic subject was also no threat to those working professionally. Blurred holiday snaps, badly framed portraits and out of focus close-ups were the realm of the amateur.

When comes to selecting the size of prints you will be receiving from digital photo printing services, you will generally have quite some options. If you are a completely new user to free online services for photo storage for printing photos, it could be a little confusing knowing which to pick. Here is a little helpful guide that can get you started and can help you ensure your results satisfy you. Wallet sizes are generally very well suited to digital photo printing. The size is small enough for even a lower quality camera to produce clear and sharp images. If you work with a bad camera, this could be the only good option. But, you may have to do some little editing for the pictures first in order to optimize the photos as much as you can.
5×8 prints are also popular choices in traditional photo processors, but the way your edited pictures will look after photo printing at size 5×8 will bedependant on a few factors. First, the camera has to be quite high quality plus it needs to be capable for producing big images which could be easily scaled to size. A few people experience little degradation for this size, moreover if the camera they have is of lower quality.

0 Comments | Posted by admin in Photography
The baby finally is here, so everyone wants photos! However, every time you want to take photos, the beautiful baby turns out like a wrinkled little old man rather than a gorgeous being that he is. So I decided to provide you with some tips on how to pictures of your newborn ang get the best results. First: You need to turn the Flash off! Using window light as a source of natural light is the best type of light you can use to capture pictures of your baby baby. So, just search for a window which has a lot of good light try not to use direct sun light, but go for indirect sunlight. Then, remove clutter and other stuff from the shots background by putting your baby inside a carrier and cover the carrier with a solid blanket that covers it, or even simpler, put it on a bed that has white sheets on. Remove babies clothing except the diapers. The less clothing he has the better it is for newborn photography as it really emphasizes the baby because they dont tend to fit clothing very well in this age, plus clothing acts more as a distraction. If diapers have any cartoons imprinted on, try covering them by folding the diapers over, or by putting some fabric over the area that has cartoons even more drastic, remove the diaper! You have to work fast if you decide to take this route. After you get the camera ready, make sure babys body and face are turned towards the natural light coming from outside through the window, and then start taking photos using different angles. Try filling the entire frame using the baby plus the solid sheet or blanket again try to avoid items or clutter which could get into your way. Dont try getting the baby to smile – only take a few images using different angles, some of baby looking towards the camera plus some of baby\’s profile, then some of the heads top. Keep changing angles while singing and talking to the baby and try engaging him. If he starts fussing, try and soothe him and when he is calm, take another shot. If the baby falls asleep, no problem take pictures while he is sleeping! Take more photos than you actually need youll never know which pictures youll like. Get come half body, full body, close ups of hands, face, feet plus all the other memorable, cute, body parts for example the funny hair lines, the wrinkly shoulders, his funny mouth, lips, and much more. And in the end, its time to develop the pictures either on your PC or in a lab, for developing the pictures, take your time and go through them again, and look at them with an artistic eye, and remember that you have captured the most important moments of your children forever on the camera!

My Experience in Photography with my 35mm and Digital Camera
0 Comments | Posted by admin in Photography
I first began taking pictures with my 1965 model Polaroid camera. I could not adjust for brightness, sharpness, or motion. I could only take 10 pictures or less and the camera didn’t provide for a negative. Along came the 35mmcamera. I was stationed in Germany and one day my brother in-law surprised me with at gift. The gift was a 35mm camera which included a nice lens and carrying case.
I didn’t use the camera for a few years until I met a good friend of mine who was in the military at the time. I was invited to my friend’s home one day and I noticed these beautiful photographs on his hallway wall. One of the pictures was a beautiful sunset over the downtown marina in my town. One of the other pictures was of a red, full of shiny chrome, 1957 Chevrolet. I asked him about the pictures and he explained that he took the photographs with a 35mm camera. He became interested in photography and took a couple of Jr. College courses in photography. The photographs displayed on his walls were awesome. He actually presented me with an enlarged framed photograph of the 1957 Chevrolet. I was hooked! I wanted to take beautiful photographs like his.
Many of the worlds strongest documentary photos depicts children. Since 1955 there have been 50 winners of the prestigious World Press Photo award, and 40% of the winning photographs depicts children. Again and again we see documentary photos of children in magazines, news stories and as leading photographs in fundraising campaigns for aid, development work and catastrophe relief efforts. Why is that? Well, not only are children cute, but because of their innocence and vulnerability, they evoke strong feelings of sympathy in the viewer. We simply can’t help empathize with the child we see in the photo, even if it was taken on the other side of the planet. With children too young to be seriously mixed up in politics and religion, the photos of children have the ability to cross all borders and reach out to our hearts. If they are produced rightly, that is.
With traditional photography and photo processing the idea of customizing your pictures after taking them seemed really far-fetched. You were basically stuck with the photo you took with your camera and there was almost nothing to do to change it. Even professional photographers often takes faulty pictures. For us amateurs, especially if we don’t have ultra-performant camera, most pictures are far from perfect.
Fortunately, digital photography and photo storage available online for free come in handy as they allow you to change a photo as much as you want, even until it has nothing to do with the original. If you would like to get more out of your photos, this article can help you do that. However, in order to follow this technique, you need to have a photo editing application installed on your computer. There are many free applications you can download online or you can purchase a higher-end one.
1. Basic editing
If you don’t want anything sophisticated, you can easily learn to use some basic functions of your photo editing application to make some small changes to your photos. These include cropping, resizing or rotating the picture until you get what you want. They can be done in a few minutes and can help you be more satisfied with the image.
